So here's a couple of thoughts:

1) I have a lot of clothes. I also have a lot of accessories, jewellery, little hats and so on. I don't want to get rid of most of my stuff, because I like owning it, however it's a shame that it doesn't get mush use, so if you want to borrow anything, ask.

2) I'm not that good at sewing, at least the physical action - my stitches are uneven. However, I am good at patterning. I made Morecakes medieval coat pattern from a badly drawn picture (not a pattern, jsut a drawing) in the fed kit guide. I made this red outfit from a couple of pictures of a similar jacket on the internet. If there's something you want to make and you need a hand with the patterning, ask. I might say no because I'm busy, I might give you a few drawings and some maths, I might even do a pattern for you, lend you a sewing machine, hold your hand when it plays up, and help with the fitting. No guarantees, but if you ask you'll be no worse off.

that's a really kind offer - even if I'm unlikely ever to have the time to take you up on it myself!! :) (damn! cos I suck at patterns!)

I have every faith that between us, we could kit out the entire Nev crew for a special event! Am presently boxing stuff ready for our massive erection, soon to be forthcoming (EXTENSION TO THE HOUSE!)I will need help for Chris's hose, if you can get me sorted with a pattern, I would be grateful to the tune of goods or items!

Do you want your bow-tie back, or shall I keep it safe for you?

Help me! I want to make a medieval wool dress, and will shortly have wool. Pattern and inspiration not so much!

A picture would be good. Length at the front, tails/not tails, sleeve type, frogging - all important details. Also, email me your size.

How swooshy do you want the skirts, and how rich do you want to look?

Brilliant! I have a new sewing machine to test out (eeeeeeks) but am crap at patterning and cutting fabrics! Also, are you good at telling me what sort of threads and stitches go with what fabric esp fleece? Have a dress with pattern from a pack but want some modification. But no hurry!

By the way, I *am* quite good at sewing, and do teeny tiny neat stitches, which I would be happy to do for you (within reason) if you want them on something nice and don't want to do it yourself. Can't pattern to save my life, though.

Rich enough to look classy but not too rich that it wouldn't be suitable for general eventage. Medium swooshy (great word by the way) so it looks good but isn't too heavy.

I envy you! I have a much more 'slah & hack' view to kitmaking! :)

I wish I'd brought a camera that night.
Did your camera recover, or is it still frozen?
