poptarts...
Mar. 14th, 2004 11:17 amSo... I went to poptarts.
I had three spare tickets, which I sold in bar one, and that paid for all the drinks I had in poptarts, which was nice.
What else happened? There was a certain gay theme to the night... I requested Freddie Mercury "Livin on my own", a bloke tried to pull me, and I realised the only people putting any effort into dancing and trying to look good were the people I knew and gay blokes. *shrugs*
I also realised there were only two attractive women in there, and that they were the ones I went in with.
Mediocrity irritates me. If someone is on the dancefloor, they should be either a) on their way elsewhere, or b) dancing. If what they are actually doing is just shaking slightly in an almost rhythmic fashion while holding a drink then it makes me want to thump them. Fortunately I managed to restrain the urge, as there were several hundred of them at it. It's really annoying, it's like the trendie version of air guitar. I mean, I know you don't want to look like idiots, but lets face it, you're dancing, you're going to look like idiots whatever happens. You may as well look like idiots with some energy who are actually enjoying themselves.
Most peculiarly, I don't seem to be hungover. I must be the pod-person version of me.
Finally, several different people* have been trying to get me to go to Climax, or possibly Fairy Likwid (or however they spell it) (if it's still running). Who else would be up for that?
*mostly women and one married bloke.
