Not you, this game. It's called Praetorians and Astatine lent it me. Here's something that puzzles me - why can't I order my catapult to bombard the walls without being able to see the blokes on there? I know the walls need bombarding, and the clouds of arrows are a bit of a hint that someones up there, but because the crafty buggers keep their heads down my catapult crew stand around going "what?" and "is it raining?" while firey arrows set their engine burning.
Also, when you have at least one unique ability for every fucking unit in the game, a few shortcut keys wouldn't go amiss.
Finally, making it so the facing direction after a two stage move is back the way you came was not a good idea. Sometimes I like to advance upon the enemy in a two stage route, and turning around and baring our arses at them doesn't have the tactical finesse I was after.
Anyway, I meant to start the new year on a positive note, so I'll move on:
Apologies to Longrat - I was going to come round for the new year open house thing, but I had the Dreaded Lurgy and thought sneezing on the little one might be a bad idea. *looks embarassed*
Alright, three tricky questions for you all:
1) Why are red kidney beans specified as red? Is there some other shade of kidney bean? Or is there perhaps some other sort of kidney that's blue or yellow?
2) Is there any way to convert a Lotus Approach database into a different file format?
(do not suggest printing it out and re-entering it)
3) Err.. I've forgotten. As a stand-in, would anyone like to go to some sort of club on, say, the weekend after this one?
