My first brass teacher has died, he was 74. My mum went to the funeral, where there were many brass players and marines with banners. They played the full version of the last post.
So, sent off in style.

Also in the family news today, the old brass band were robbed in the nationals. Apparently one of the sponsors reps daughters was in the band that won.

Nice that Freds funeral was good, though i still remember him as being really quite sexist!

I heard the full story about the nationals too, Mocara got confused and thought mum had been at the grand national.

He probably was. That generation, and a marine, and all. Good bloke and great teacher apart from that though.
