Well, I went to school with Geordies, so I am familiar with an out-of-date version of their slang.
"Seaside" is a new one to me.

I reckon it's 'I've been drinking for four hours straight and am no longer making any sense' slang, specifically for him. Or a private joke, like how Red Stripe once meant I was going to be the next Prime Minister (no, I can't remember the details anymore :-) )
