What shall we do tonight, people?
Dec. 19th, 2003 12:27 amI had a mission tonight. I had to:
Do work christmas cards.
Do work secret santa present.
Ring some people.
As optional extras I also had:
Wrap other presents.
Make other presents.
Relax.
Go to bed early so I get in at a sensible time tomorrow.
This should have been fairly easy, however, on the way in I got accosted by the bint, who had lost her passport, and found mine, and had decided that this meant that I had hers somewhere in my room.
I spent two hours ripping my room apart. First I looked everywhere likely, then I looked everywhere plausible, then I looked everywhere else. I also forced open a little metal (formerly) lockable box because I couldn't find the key.
The damage will probably be three to four hours of tidying some other time.
After that, I got a little fed up. I went into her room, looked on her bed, and saw her box of "important documents you wouldn't want to lose".
Can anyone guess where the passport was?
So now its an hour or two after I should have gone to bed, and my room is a tip, and I failed dismally to ring anyone, and I still have more work to pack into the next few days than I'd like. Certainly this 'walking up a hill and getting drunk' plan is going to be altered to 'staying in and soing useful things'. Maybe going home will have to be put back to the 24th.
Someone is due a slapping.
