Hypothetically, if the urge takes you to play "Fire Warrior", don't bother. Everything about this game is crap, mostly because it's a port from the PS2 rather than a proper game. You can dodge lasers. You engage at about five yards range. You are the Tau's one-person army, mostly because all Tau have a recharging shield, but only you are smart enough to duck behind cover while it recharges and you reload (and the enemy are too dumb to walk around the cover and shoot you). It's crap in ways that make me glad I never had the money to buy a console.

I remember when one of my house-mates got given a copy of this for the PC (he used to work for GW and they gave out some copies). We tried to get the god awful piece of rubbish to work but it was so bloody bugged it just wouldn't let you play without removing the floor and letting you drop into non-space. I later saw it played on the PS2 which only cemented my desire never to see the damn thing again.

Even with it being Tau, the thing makes no sense. You, kais, a fire warrior, get sent on ahead of a bunch of other fire warriors, who are all supposedly more experienced than you. This is basically a worse plot than Doom. If you had been, say, a stealth suit pilot, and been sent on ahead in a kind of stealthy game, that would've made way more sense.

Or if you were a crisis suit pilot, that would make sense too. We've got a crisis, who do we call? Crisis suit, lots of weapons, extra hits, explains everything.

Aye one would have assumed that they would choose Space Marines. Although I have seen shots of a God of War style game which is just that.
