Last chance saloon? To solve a problem that has existed before?
No, that doesn't make sense. So why say it?
Because emergency situation justify extreme measures. So, some extreme measures demand emergency situations, even if the emergency must be manufactured.
Hence, rhetoric like this is someone pushing an agenda. Question is what, and how do you stop them?
My guess is it's the usual tory line: nuclear hetero family good: everything else bad. Cameron had all that in his speech earlier this week. Probably with the usual side order of "the proles are too uncontrolled, so we need a police state".
