Yesterday, I completely failed to go to the party. This was because every night the previous week I was short on sleep, and it all caught up with me.
Today, I went shopping for dinner plates in charity shops. I managed to come back with clothes, music, a contact lens order, a glass pint mug, books, but no plates. Then Liz helpfully pointed out that new housemates would have new plates. Nominations for this weeks 'muppet' award are being started right here.
Anyway, I'm now wearing alleged size 10 trousers. I'm not feeling particularly impressed by the consistency of womens sizing, but nevermind. I just have to not sit down too long. It's all a bit kinky Italian waiter down there.
The plan for tonight is to stay in, with a bit of tidying, and perhaps some sewing. Yeah. Rock and roll. I think I have to, mostly because:
a) nothing is happening
b) there's nowhere to go
c) I've already spent next weeks going out budget
Which reminds me. Everfink was lovely and filled with nice people, but I have a couple of suggestions:
1) good beer. Since the cocktails are now £3, something else is called for.
2) It's a pub, so dancing is not a priority. This means you can play music that you couldn't play in a club. There are some tunes that are nice, and it would be great to hear, but you wouldn't here in a club because you can't dance to them.
I had something else to say, but it's gone, so instead I'm going to cook tea and ponder the question "Should I use the silly Elf army with the dragon, or the more sensible one which has 30% more Elves in it?".
