Conclusion: our society rewards bullsh*tters with well paid jobs.
Thought two:
Advertising exists to sell products. It does this by making us want the products. Advertising is successful at this for most people. There are more products than almost everyone can afford. People are unhappy when they want things they cannot have.
Conclusion: advertising makes people unhappy.
Thought three:
I should be filling in forms. I am not, because I am waffling on LJ. This is bad.
Conclusion: I should turn LJ off.

Date: 2004-07-15 03:36 pm (UTC)I think they can see bullshit when it's wafted in front of their faces. I think the problem is they either go "mmm, that looks good", or "bullshit, well, that's what we were told to recruit!". It must be something along those lines.
Actually, come to think of it, they probably have a computer (or a temp, which is cheaper?) going through, not reading it, just scanning for buzzwords and phrases. If you don't get the right ones, you don't even get your form read by a human being.
