I was watching the football the other day (yes, I know. I was knackered and it was that or soaps, it seemed like an easier plot to follow), and I noticed something odd. The fans band were playing that vindaloo song from a few years back... but instead of playing it as written, they were playing it in minor, like a sea shanty or the third (fourth? I can't remember. Wherever the basses get the tune) section of a march. This is quite a peculiar thing to do, when you think about it. The band must know they've altered it, so the question is, why are the playing it like that? They haven't made a march out of it, because they aren't playing the other sections.
