I felt like I should post something...
Nov. 30th, 2003 11:44 pm..but I don't really have anything to say.
I am somewhat disappointed in myself, because I failed to organise a huge party. Not that it wasn't fun or anything, but in the past we have had people spilling out into the street, and not just because they wanted a fag, so I feel a little like a failure when I didn't even have to open my room. On the plus side, my room is more tidy than it's ever been, although that could be connected to the large pile of crap lurking on the windowsill.
I am also somewhat dsappointed because after all that fuss and stress, I didn't bother wearing the outfit I bought. On the plus side, this means I didn't make a fool of myself and (medieval) Lynn doesn't have any more evidence for her peculiar 'R wants to be bisexual' theory.
Finally I am slightly ashamed that the best we have by way of gossip is Ken going at the same time as Ally (or is it Ali?) after tarting with her for an hour.
Meanwhile, at reenactment today, we did fun sword parries (as opposed to blocks), and then switched that into one on one bill/quarterstaff twirly techniques. This was nice, but the fact that practise today barely raised a sweat means it probably didn't make up for last nights drink and chips :o(
Also this weekend I saw Ruth and Dave, which was nice, but they left their bag at mine, which is additional hassle for tomorrow.
All in all I feel like nothing really exciting happened this weekend. Which makes the preceeding week seem a bit pointless.
*sigh*
Perhaps next time we should a) not pick such a bad date, b) publicise better, c) not have a stupid theme and d) do the damn tidying the day before, so that by saturday night I'm not exhausted and headachy.
Finally, try this comic:

Date: 2003-12-01 10:44 pm (UTC)It wasnt just your party and as long as you had fun and saw some people that you liked then thats pretty damn good. Its a party not a flipping popularity contest. I'm sure the neighbours appreciated you not spilling out into the street anyway. The last time our neighbours did that at 3 am I was deeply unimpressed and Words Were Had.
Anyway, yeah, stuff. Sorry about the bag. It didn't seem to be that much of a faff to collect it from your work, plus we now know that you wear a tie! ha! Mocara is relieved that he doesnt work in an office anymore, and I realised that the world of care work is quite unlike offices . .
